AFTERCARE.

CARING FOR YOUR NEW TATTOO

SECOND SKIN

After your Tattoo session has finished, The Artist will wrap the area in a protective barrier (RECOVERY DERM), to prevent any dirt or Bacteria going onto your new Tattoo.

Please try to keep the film on upto 48 hrs.

After 24-48hrs, with clean hands, remove the film. Gently lather the tattoo with antibacterial soap and warm water in a circular motion. This will remove all excess ink, blood and plasma build up. Pat dry with a clean sheet of kitchen roll, then allow to air dry. Apply a small thin layer of ointment (Hustle Butter, Cocoa Butter or Coconut Oil) covering the whole tattoo.

Try to avoid wearing any tight clothing. Do not clingfilm after.

CLING FILM

If the area was cling filmed, remove after 5 hrs, follow the cleaning process (above), then apply some ointment and a new clingfilm wrap before going to bed. In the morning repeat the cleaning process again and only re-wrap with clingfilm another day if you really need to, changing every 5 hrs. Otherwise, keep the area clean, clear and open.

THE FIRST WEEK

Continue using the Ointment/balm twice a day for 7 days. Afterwards switch to/apply a layer of Palmers Cocoa Butter/Coconut oil daily to keep the tattoo vibrant.

The tattoo may appear red/swollen for the first couple of days and may have some light scabbing. Do not worry as this is normal, just keep following the steps. :)
